The Foundation of Tradition
Early family tradition in handcrafted cigar making laid the groundwork for what would become the Cigar Paradise philosophy. From selecting and aging tobacco leaves to understanding balance, construction, and flavor development, each generation refined its knowledge through patience and practice.
This foundation was never about mass production. It was about respect, for tobacco, for time, and for the ritual that surrounds a well-made cigar.
From Heritage to Identity
As the craft passed through generations, the family tradition continued to evolve. Each generation preserved knowledge shaped by experience while adapting to changing environments, markets, and expectations — bridging heritage with a willingness to move forward.
That balance between tradition and evolution would later become part of the identity behind Cigar Paradise: honoring where we come from while continuing to explore where the craft can go.
Where a New Chapter in American Cigar Culture Began
In 2008, the foundation for a new chapter was established in the United States. On March 9, 2009, Cuban Paradise Cigar & Café opened its doors at John’s Pass Village in Madeira Beach, bringing together handcrafted cigars, coffee, conversation, and a welcoming approach to hospitality.
What began as a small brick-and-mortar cigar store was never about scale. It was about creating a place where craftsmanship, community, and the cigar experience could come together naturally.
As the vision expanded, Cuban Paradise would eventually evolve into the broader Cigar Paradise identity. New locations and new concepts followed, each shaped by its surroundings while remaining rooted in the values established at the beginning.
That evolution has also included strategic changes along the way, including the transition from our Sarasota chapter to a new concept in Clearwater Beach — entering a different market with a fresh identity and a renewed opportunity to build from the ground up.

Cigar Paradise is more than a cigar brand. Each location is intentionally designed to offer a refined yet relaxed atmosphere where premium cigars, carefully crafted cocktails, and attentive service come together naturally.

At the core of Cigar Paradise is a collection of signature house blends developed to express different profiles, strengths, and experiences while remaining connected by the same approach to craftsmanship.
For more than 17 years, these cigars have been handcrafted using traditional techniques and knowledge refined through generations of working with tobacco. Each blend is developed with attention to balance, consistency, construction, and character.
Together, they form the core line of Cigar Paradise — the foundation from which new ideas, special projects, and limited expressions can continue to evolve.
